India's own AI Film Festival at Film Expo India 2026, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. All films must be 100% AI-generated — read the rules below before submitting.
Prize details for each category will be announced soon. A film may only be submitted in one category — see Rule 6 below regarding Category 5, the Indian category.
Category 5 — Best Indian AI Film — is reserved exclusively for Indian creators, and is a separate, exclusive category. A film submitted here cannot also be submitted to Categories 1–4, and vice versa. See Rule 6 below.
Please read carefully before submitting. Entries that do not meet these conditions will be disqualified.
All submissions must be entirely AI-generated — from scripting and visuals to sound, voice, and editing. Films incorporating live-action footage, stock footage, or partially AI-assisted production are not eligible and will be disqualified.
Every submission must be accompanied by a short production note or PDF disclosing all AI tools used in the making of the film. Entries without this disclosure will not be considered.
Each film may be submitted in only one category. Submitting the same film across multiple categories will result in disqualification of all related entries.
Categories 1 to 4 are open to creators from any country, of any nationality. Category 5, Best Indian AI Film, is reserved exclusively for Indian creators.
Films may be submitted in any language. Non-English films must include accurate English subtitles burned into the video file.
Category 5, Best Indian AI Film, is entirely separate and exclusive from Categories 1 to 4. A film submitted to Category 5 cannot also be submitted to an international category — and vice versa. A film found entered in both will result in cancellation of both entries, with no exception.
Films must be submitted via an unlisted YouTube link (not private, not public) or an unrestricted Google Drive link with viewing access enabled for anyone with the link. Broken or restricted links will not be reviewed.
A vertical film poster and a photo of the creator or creator team must be uploaded with the submission, for use in festival promotion and the screening programme.
By submitting, filmmakers confirm they hold all necessary rights to the film. Filmmakers retain full ownership; OpenFrame AI Film Festival and Film Expo India are granted a non-exclusive right to screen the film publicly and use excerpts, the poster, and the creator photo for festival promotion.
All entries will be reviewed by an official jury panel. Selection, category placement, and award decisions made by the jury are final and not open to appeal.
Entries close on 15 August 2026, 11:59 PM IST. Incomplete submissions — missing production notes, broken links, or missing poster/photo uploads — will not be considered for selection.
Every eligible entry is reviewed by the official jury panel against the following criteria.
Films are evaluated as cinema first. AI is considered a creative production tool rather than a scoring objective by itself.
Fill in every field marked required. Double-check your links before submitting — entries are not editable once submitted.
